The Port Kennedy Dental Group will not be open on Labour Day, March 4, 2019.
This day recognises the Australian labour movement, specifically in achieving an 8 hour work day.

In 1856 workers marched in the streets of Melbourne for an eight hour working day. They successfully reduced the hours worked each day and achieved better working conditions. This was the basis of 8 hours work, 8 hours recreation and 8 hours of rest. Australia is credited with being the first country in the world to achieve this without loss of pay.
